In order to meet market needs and employers’ expectations, we offer the possibility of obtaining an international certificate confirming knowledge of English at 6 different levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). As part of our cooperation with the leading educational company Pearson, we assess and verify language skills and certify English language proficiency for people for whom English is not their mother tongue.

The Centre’s offer includes:

• Pearson Test of English Young Learners.

Egzaminy PTE General i PTE Young Learners:

• test knowledge and provide certification of language skills,
• focus on comprehension and fluent communication skills,
• are authentic because they are based on realistic scenarios,
• allow for free communication,
• motivate and help to develop self-confidence,
• integrate all four language skills (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing and speaking).
• are developed with reference to the Common European Framework of Reference /CEFR/ of the Council of Europe,
• are recognised worldwide by universities, employers and national education authorities in many countries as proof of mastery of the required standard of English.

Obtaining the PTE General certificate makes it possible, among other things, to:

• start studying or working abroad
• gain new development opportunities
• improve your own qualifications
• confirm your mastery of the required language standard
• distinguish yourself on the labour market

PTE General examinations in Poland:

• are recognised by the Ministry of National Education as a confirmation of the language qualifications required for those who wish to become teachers of English – Decree of the Minister of National Education of 17.04.2012

Obtaining the international PTE General certificate at B2 level (according to the CEFR guidelines of the Council of Europe) will allow kindergarten teachers to teach English in kindergartens and primary schools (grades I-III), as by 1 September 2020 those working with children in kindergarten are required to complete and document a qualification in a modern foreign language controlling the quality of examinations in the UK.

EXAM FORMAT

The examinations consist of two parts:

• The first part is a written exam testing listening comprehension, reading comprehension and writing skills and is assessed by independent UK examiners.
• The second part is the oral communication test. The oral part of the exam, which tests your ability to communicate correctly in a foreign language, can take place before or after the written part. It is assessed by qualified teachers and lecturers from our university. The exam is recorded and sent for verification in the UK to ensure the highest standards of marking

Register for the PTE General examl

In order to take the exam, you must fill in the exam registration form. Completed forms, together with proof of payment, must be delivered to the University of Linguistics and Technology in Przasnysz.
