Statute of the Scientific Club of the Faculty of Philology
–
Chapter I
General:
§ 1.1. The Students’ Scientific Association of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Linguistics and Technology in Świecie – Branch in Przasnysz, hereinafter referred to as the “Scientific Club”, is a university student organization associating students of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Linguistics and Technology in Świecie.
§ 1.2. The Student Research Club is subject to registration by the Rector of the University of Technology.
§ 1.3. The Student Research Club operates on the basis of this statute and the ULT statute
§ 2. The Student Research Club operates mainly on the premises of the University of Technology; it may also conduct business throughout the territory of the Republic of Poland, in accordance with the provisions of law.
§ 3. The seat of the authorities of the Student Research Club is the University of Silesia, 2a Chmielniki Street.
§ 4. The Student Research Club uses its own logo and uses seals in accordance with the applicable regulations.
§ 5.1. The Rector of ULT appoints and dismisses the supervisor of the Student Research Club. The nomination and dismissal shall be immediately notified to the Chancellor of the ULT. §5.2. The Supervisor of the Student Research Club supervises the compliance of the Club’s activities with the statute and generally applicable regulations and provides substantive care over its scientific work.
Chapter II
Objectives of the Student Research Club
§ 6.1 fostering the development of scientific and creative work, free exchange of scientific views, awakening scientific interests among students
§ 6.2 deepening students’ knowledge and skills in the field of linguistics, literary studies, translation studies and methodology of teaching German and English
§ 6.3 striving to create optimal conditions for outstanding students to develop their interests, acquire higher qualifications and professional experience
§ 6.4 promoting artistic and creative talents, as well as linking them with the knowledge and skills developed during studies,
§ 6.5 establishing cooperation with organizations and academic centers dealing with similar subjects;
§ 6.6 Integration of the student community § 6.7 Integration with the student community The objectives of the Chapter are achieved through:
§ 7.1 organizing regular meetings and discussions
§ 7.2 presenting the Club’s own achievements by running the Club’s information service in electronic form.
§ 7.3 cooperation with scientific and cultural institutions and societies.
7.4 Publication of teaching materials prepared by students for teaching foreign languages in nursery schools and grades I-III
§ 7.5 other forms of activity in accordance with the Articles of Association. § 7.6 Each member of the Chapter is responsible for the implementation of the statutory objectives. § 7.7 In special cases, the implementation of statutory objectives may be entrusted to third parties or institutions
Chapter III
Members of the Student Research Club
§ .8 There are the following types of membership in the Scientific Club:
Ordinary members
Honorary members
§ . 9. 1 The Board of the Student Association is accepted as a member of the Student Research Club on the basis of a declaration signed by the interested party. 9.2.Cz Honorary Membership may be conferred by the General Assembly of the Student Research Club, at the request of the Board, to a person of special merit for the Club.
§ .10. Membership in the Student Research Club ceases as a result of: 1 withdrawal from the Club, declared by a written resignation submitted to the Board 2. Exclusions by the resolution of the Board for: a. activities contrary to the Statute of the Student Research Club and resolutions of the Governing Bodies. b. failure to fulfil the duties of a member of the Student Research Club, specified in the Statute and resolutions of the Club’s authorities. 3. graduation or discontinuation of studies 4 . disciplinary removal from the University
§11. Members of the Student Research Club have the right to:
§ 11.1. have a card corresponding to the form of their membership in the Student Research Club,
§11.2. submit applications to the authorities of the Student Circle, participate in all the work of the Student Research Club and …
a. comply with the provisions of this Statute, b. comply with the resolutions of the authorities of the Student Research Club, §12.2. An ordinary member of the Student Research Club has the right to: a. co-organize and participate in all forms of the Club’s activities. b. use all forms of assistance available in the Student Research Group c. elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the Student Research Group §. 13 Honorary members have all the rights of ordinary members, except for the active and passive right to elect to the authorities of the Student Research Club. They have an advisory voice.
Chapter IV
Authorities of the Student Research Club
§ 14.1. The term of office of all the authorities of the Student Research Club is one year.
§ 14.2 The authorities of the Student Research Club are: a. the General Assembly b. the Board c. the Peer Court d. the Audit Committee. And.
§ .15.1 The General Assembly is the highest authority of the Student Research Club. §15.2. The competences of the General Assembly include:
determining the directions of the Scientific Club’s activities for a given academic year
Electing the Management Board, including its President
adopting a report on the activities of the Board in each academic year
granting approval to the Management Board
adopting amendments to the Statute of the Student Research Club
adopting a resolution on the dissolution of the Student Research Club
§ 16. The General Meeting may be ordinary or extraordinary
§ 16.1 The Ordinary General Meeting is convened by the President of the Board no later than 14 days before the end of the term of office of the Chapter’s authorities, i.e. before 15.06 of a given academic year.
§ 16.2 The Extraordinary General Meeting is convened by the President of the Student Research Club: a. on one’s own initiative b. as a result of a resolution of the Management Board at a motion signed c. on a motion signed by at least half of the number of Members of the Student Research Group
§ 17.1 Resolutions of the General Meeting are adopted by an absolute majority of votes
§ 17.2 Resolutions on the amendment of the Statute and on the dissolution of the Student Research Club are adopted by a qualified majority of 2/3 of votes, in the presence of at least half of the number of ordinary members of the Student Research Club,

§ 18. The Board of Directors consists of: a. President, b. Vice-President, c. Secretary, d. Treasurer,
§ 19. The President of the Management Board:
convenes the General Meeting, specifying the place, the first date and the second date of the commencement of the meeting and the proposed agenda
opens the proceedings of the General Meeting on the first date, if at least half of the members of the Student Research Club are present, or on the second date, regardless of the number of persons present, elects the Chairman of the General Meeting and delegates to him the management of the proceedings
directs the work of the Board of the Student Research Group
coordinates the work of individual Wheels section
represents the Chapter in relation to the Scientific Supervisor f. represents the Student Research Group in the University environment or outside of it,
signs contracts and agreements with other organizations on behalf of the Chapter and grants written authorizations to sign them
§ 20 The Vice-President replaces the President – performs the tasks assigned by the President orally or in writing
§ 21 The Treasurer keeps the accounts of the Circle and prepares financial statements § 22 The Secretary prepares, updates and maintains the list of members of the Student Research Club, prepares and keeps the minutes of the meetings of the Board and the meetings of the Student Research Club, signing them together with the President of the Board.
§ 22.1 The duties of the Secretary of the Branch include keeping the minutes of general meetings.
Chapter V
Competences of the University Authorities in relation to the Student Research Club:
§ 23 The Rector repeals the resolution of the authorities of the Student Research Club which is inconsistent with the statutory provisions, the Statute of the University or the Statute of the Club.
§ 24 The Senate, at the request of the Rector, dissolves a Student Research Club if its activity shows a gross or persistent violation of statutory provisions, the Statute of the University or the Statute of the Club.
Chapter VI
Final provisions
§ 25.1 Motions to amend the Articles of Association should be submitted to the President of the Management Board at least one week before the General Meeting.
§ 25.2 Amendments to the Statutes adopted at the General Meeting shall enter into force after the Rector of ULT has approved their compliance with the law and the Statute of the University.
§ 25.3 In the event of dissolution of the Student Research Club by a resolution of the General Assembly, the property of the Circle becomes the property of the ULT and the documentation of the Circle is transferred to the School Archives.

Projects of the Open Mind Student Research Group
On March 17, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chamber Space of OKSiR took place a concert entitled “COUNTLESS NAMES OF LOVE”, organized by the University of Linguistics and Technology, the “Open Mind” Student Club and the ULT Student Government.
The partner of the event was the Centre of Culture, Recreation and Sport in Świecie. The competition was held under the patronage of the Starost of the Świecki District and the Mayor of Świecie. Among the sponsors of the awards was also the Youth Career Centre in Świecie. During the concert gala, awards were presented in the competition for a literary work in verse in English. The language competition was addressed to high school students from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and students of ULT in Świecie and Przasnysz. The theme was “love”. A literary work in verse on the theme of love had to be written in English.
The awards were presented by the Mayor of Świecie together with the ULT Authorities and (additional awards) from the Youth Career Center. Teacher’s Crew, Magdalena Otulak and Piotr Rutkowski, an actor from the Chojnice Rhapsodic Studio, performed. The event was hosted by our student, Tomasz “Teacher” Jarmołkiewicz (chairman of the ULT Science Club), and the evening was filled with atmospheric songs by vocalists from his band Teacher’s Crew. This is the first edition of the poetry competition and we cordially invite you to participate in further successful ULT initiatives!!
